Jesus Denied Himself

“Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.’” Luke 9:23.

Jesus Himself went this way. These are His steps. If anyone wants to walk in the Lamb’s steps, he shall know that these are His steps! He daily took up that cross to which His own human will was nailed. Just as it was in Gethsemane, so it was the whole time! This is precisely why He never committed sin. He always said “No” to that human will which He had voluntarily taken upon Himself for our sakes.
