Yesterday we went ashore here, and three of us went to the public bathhouse to take a bath. There was a young man sitting in the waiting room reading Missionæren, with a pocket New Testament beside him. He spoke to me and asked me to read a section of the paper; so we started a conversation. He knew about you and me from Missionæren and from his conversations with Sr. Agnes Thelle. This brother’s name is Henrik Engstrøm. His address is Møllergate 47 III. We went home with him and had a very nice conversation; he was extremely interested in searching and digging for spiritual treasures. I told him that you might come to Kristiania in the fall; he was very happy to hear that and asked if you could possibly visit him at his home. He is a young man, about 22 to 24 years old. I read a long letter he had received from Dagmar Gregersen. He mentioned the lack of shepherds and teachers in Torvgaten 7, and that if God sends you to Kristiania, you will certainly have plenty to do; in particular, there were several who wanted to have informal conversation meetings. We spoke about a number of things—several doctrines—which he had laid hold of and had taught to others. He said he had heard them through Agnes Thelle. Amazing how this message can spread. Today (Sunday) he will come on board for a visit. Br. Olsen was ashore yesterday, and this morning he was absolutely overjoyed because everything was going very well; God had arranged everything. The gunner’s mate is with him on shore today. They are going to Torvgaten 7.
We’re sailing for Horten tomorrow, and then we don’t have many days left. God is good; He does things better for us than we could ever imagine. Greetings to all at home and all the friends. We are doing well here.
Your brother in Jesus Christ in the same battle,
Johan
