Dear brother Aksel,

Heartfelt thanks to you and Berglioth for the time we had together in Kristiania. Br. Ellefsen and I travelled to Moss on Easter Monday, where Sehusen and Mitchel from Skien were preaching. We had a blessed prayer meeting at Axel Wold’s place before the afternoon meeting. There are a whole lot of stragglers in Moss, who are pretty much clinging on to Kristi Menighet. However, Br. Axel Wold and Breien are among those who desire full liberty.

Tomorrow, Br. Andresen (the happy bricklayer) is coming to Berg’s house, who for this occasion has advertised house meetings in Knudsen’s living room. We don’t have any regular meetings at our place now, but we have God, and that is the best of all. Br. Berg is the same; I really can’t figure him out. Maybe he is thinking about starting up his own meetings. I had a long conversation with him today, but he stuck to his guns. I imagine that he and Br. Andresen will get along well. I have written a comforting letter to Br. Axel Wold in Moss, as I understand they have many things to fight against. I showed through the Scriptures that it is the Spirit we need and not just the letter.

I have also written an article for Missionæren regarding the pernicious doctrine about skipping over Romans 7 into Romans 8. In fact, I met a brother in a restaurant in Moss who had also gone straight into Romans 8, but another brother was listening intently to how I explained it. He asked many questions, and went back and forth, but in the end he said he was in complete agreement and that he rejoiced to hear it explained in that way. He was liberated and was attending meetings with the Lutheran friends.

I don’t know what will happen next. All avenues seem closed. There are only a few publications that might provide an outlet. God is the one who closes the door, and God is the one who opens; we can’t do anything about that. However, God has given us a much closer connection with the friends in Moss.

We have read Ørebladet’s25 articles against Br. Barratt. We live in remarkable times. May God give us grace to be watchful in all things.

Greet the friends, greet Berglioth, and warmest greetings to you from your brother in Christ Jesus,

Johan
