Yet another Easter weekend has gone by. During this time, the Lord has been with us here in an amazing way; His name be honored and praised. The free assembly here has received the word with joy in the Holy Spirit. They have accepted the word to such a degree that they have made it extremely easy even to speak about the mysteries in Christ Jesus. Now the whole assembly is praying for light, wisdom, and the knowledge of God. They have come to understand that sin in the body is to be condemned, and some have begun to testify about this. There has been ample opportunity to give them my testimony, because the Lord has prepared everything in every way. I have spoken to them about the gifts and their use, about the law which we are set free from by the body of Christ, and about the destruction of the body of sin within the body. God’s grace has been very great, so they have rejoiced when the truth has given them a deeper understanding over new areas. Now they have received such a taste for this that they lay hold of the words eagerly. However, further instruction will be needed in the days ahead. The leading sister, Gunda Willersrud, testifies with great power and has been greatly tested in the work of the Lord. There is a brother, a machinist, who is somewhat of a teacher in Christ. When I shared with him about this gift, he was very happy, and since then he has expressed his love. A brother from the countryside, who has also traveled around and witnessed about the Lord, has attended the meetings. Today he testified about the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings and about being conformed to Christ in His death. Gunda Willersrud did the same.

One evening, everything was put to the test. There was a prayer meeting, and it was mostly just the friends who were present. I had something on my heart that I had wanted to say for quite a while. God gave grace. I read Ephesians 1 and Colossians 2, about the battle Paul fought on behalf of those who had received the Spirit, that they also needed to receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I said that the congregation in Ålesund lacked this and that they needed to seek it. After this message, it was dead quiet for a long time. No one could say anything. God’s Spirit rested like a heavy weight on the whole congregation. Everything was hanging in the balance. I had to leave to go back onboard; but later I heard they had agreed to press further into the mysteries of God. Two very good brothers from Molde (the town) were at the meeting, as well as a brother named Kvalsvik from another place. The Lord is doing great things these days; His name be praised. A sister from Drammen came forward and asked for prayer that she might receive the Spirit of God. The Lord is truly doing glorious things. There are several friends here who have really been tested, so now as they receive greater light, things will fall into place on their own. Several young women give very clear testimonies. I am writing this so that you can rejoice together with me in the work of the Lord. Send this letter to Br. Aslaksen with warm greetings. I am waiting for a letter from him.
