God’s peace.
Thank you very much for your good letter. It was a joy to read, along with the letter from Br. Kvalheim. We have just arrived here from Moldøen. I was on shore yesterday in Moldøen and heard from Br. Kvalheim’s wife that Sr. Dannell had traveled south on June 10 on board the Finnmarken on her way to Moldøen. She wants to visit the friends there. Mrs. Kvalheim said she was more than welcome to stay with her for a few days.
We have had some good meetings in Moldøen lately, and we’ve had a full house. Br. Nils Strand, Kvalheim’s brother-in-law, who is around 25 years of age, is constantly receiving new light. He is especially enthusiastic about the book of Proverbs and the book of Job. Since Kvalheim left, I’ve had more opportunities to spend time with him. At the last meeting there were twenty-three of us in one living room. They said that was the core of the Christians in Moldøen. Among them there was also a teacher from Grimstad who is a friend of Elise Stad (Constance’s sister). Her name is Marie Torgersen, and she is 35 years old. She understood a great deal, and she rejoiced. The rest of the congregation also sat quietly and listened. They’ve now heard the message many times. There was a good spirit present.
Br. Kvalheim was extremely happy to meet with you in Haugesund.
God has done amazing things in Moldøen. It’s now a large group, which is in need of guidance, since they are willing to listen. Not everyone understands everything so clearly, but they want to be a part of things. I’m happy that Sr. Dannell is coming and can have conversations with them. Sr. Kvalheim understands a great deal.
I hear that you will be going to Finnmark again; God’s ways with us are amazing. May God bless your labor in the Lord, wherever you go. It has not been in vain, and it will bear fruit. We’ll see how things go here. I received a letter from Gunda Willersrud a while ago, which Aksel and Aslaksen have already read, so you can destroy it once you’ve read it.
This evening I have shore leave, and they have planned a meeting; so we’ll see how it all goes.
Greet the friends in Haugesund.
Warm greetings.
Your brother,
Johan
