God’s peace.
Thank you for your good letter. It’s a joy to hear from you about how it’s going with your work up there in the Nordland district. We are currently in Moldøen, and I’m able to speak with Br. Kvalheim almost every day. He was baptized on Sunday, September the 19th. There were four of us present—the other two were from the Salvation Army. After the baptism, we sang a verse from “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.” It was a blessed time up there among the rock-strewn slopes, with the mountains towering in the background and the cold wind blowing through.
The friends here have now started having meetings for the mission work, like the ones we have had in Horten. The first meeting was on Wednesday. There were eight people present, and we collected 2.75 kroner. Br. Kvalheim is making progress and is enthusiastic about these truths being spread.
On October 5 we are going to Ålesund. I am still undecided about what should be done there. The opposers re-opened the doors the day I left; in other words, they had banned me from the meetings. I could just let the ban continue and not go to any more meetings at the meeting hall, but instead have house meetings with the friends who are interested in having them. We’ll see how it goes; God will make things clear.
Korsets Seier has written an article: “Did Christ Have a Sinful Flesh?” Aksel wrote a very clear reply. I’m sending you the manuscript so you can read it, even though it will be printed in Skjulte Skatter shortly.
The war will drag on for a long time, but God is leading things in this as well. We need to be trained in patience. If you know of anyone with new songs, ask them to send them to me. I will then compile them and let Br. Berg take care of the musical aspect so that they can be printed after that. Br. Grønneberg is sick and Br. Aslaksen doesn’t have time, so we have agreed to do it this way, because we need a songbook.
All the best, and warm greetings from your brother,
JohanMany greetings from Br. Kvalheim. 1 Pet. 5:10.
