Peace.
I am enclosing a letter from Br. Sivert Bolsønes in Molde. He sold his share of the shipyard to his brothers. I read that in Sundmørposten. He wants to make himself more free. He says now that he wants to give a tenth of the sale price to the work for the truth. I just wrote to him and informed him that you have started a “central fund” with a balance of 1,700 kroner and that he needs to contact you about this. I told him that everything that is not whole or that has been torn by beasts is cursed, so if he wants to give something, it must be a whole sacrifice. I told him about Skjulte Skatter and described how it is not able to support itself. You see how God is working together with us.
Br. Johan Lohne, together with Gjerde, has gone from house to house in Hardanger Fjord preaching Christ manifested in the flesh. There’s quite a distance between the different farms, so he enlisted two sisters and Br. Gjerde to help with the work. His letters are enclosed. Br. Sivert Bolsønes and his wife are wholehearted people. His wife is the daughter of Belden from the Stad Peninsula; she was there when things split up in Ålesund, and she was able to bring Bolsønes along.
I received a letter from Sr. Anna Kjærnet. Greet her and thank her very much for the letter. Lieutenant Bekkevold is currently on a trip to Kirkenes and Berlevåg. We asked him to visit the friends. He longs to be free. Sr. Døvle is doing better; her face is brighter. She now visits the Strømmes in the middle of the day. We were all at her place last Sunday. She seemed to take comfort when another woman from the Salvation Army wept brave tears when defending herself, because Mother Døvle used to shout and raise her voice. Now she just smiles and says that it doesn’t matter if somebody takes her to task, as long it leads to becoming more God-fearing. The rest of the Salvation Army have now dug their heels in, as they say. The other day, the major got the whole army to clap and cheer; but the lieutenant stood there with his hands behind his back. Then she turned to him and said, “So, aren’t you happy, Lieutenant? That’s also a joy!!”
I’ve received a letter from a sister in Moldøen. She is a very zealous, married woman named Mrs. Gangsø. But I have warned against calling anyone on earth her Father.
Greet the friends and your family.
Warm greetings from your brother,
Johan
