Letter to Elias Aslaksen, 1913/07/07

Collected Writings Volume 2 • 1912 - 1917
Horten, July 7, 1913
Dear Br. Aslaksen,
God’s peace.

I am sending you this letter, as I don’t want to send so many books without your consent, before I have received payment for them. If you want to send her the books, it would be good if you could do it from a larger supply than we have here. You probably have enough stock in Hønefoss. In any case, let me know how you want to proceed, and return this letter to me so that I have the address, in case I need to take care of it. Have you read the last issue of Korsets Seier on “False Liberty”?

Aksel is now in Kristiansand.

A parish priest by the name of J. Fjord Christensen in Denmark has ordered 20 copies of Strayed Concerning the Faith. Some people have also sent in letters expressing their agreement with Strayed Concerning the Faith. Here is a portion of what one sister from Maura wrote today.

Quote:

“I must say that the delusion has already become so great and widespread that God has, at the very last moment, raised up a prophet for this work. The Spirit of God has recently revealed to me the same truths almost word for word, based on the same scriptures, but I am not a gifted writer, which is why God is unable to use me for this task. But I thank God that He has given someone the courage to act. Sincere greetings from an interested sister.” Anonymous.

Greet the friends.

Warm greetings.

Yours,

Johan
