Jesus as Lord

“You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.” 1 Cor. 12:2. People are drawn to different things. If we want to speak in the power of the Holy Spirit, we must be in that spirit where Jesus is Lord and we are His servant. Let God’s judgment pour over our life; we must not be the lord. We are to grow up and be guided into life by the Holy Spirit. God wants all men to be saved and come to an acknowledgment of the truth. Absolutely nothing should be allowed to hinder our prayers or weaken our devotion before the face of God. 1 Tim. 2:1. Every servant of Christ must always have a heart that can pray for all men. 1 Tim. 2:3-4. When a person sees the other law in his members, he be-comes more cautious. Wretched man that I am! The law of sin in my members hinders me from being the blessing that I long to be with all my heart. An artist or musician may become so skilled that he cannot improve. Yet, because of the other law in his members, he has to continue to practice just to keep from getting worse. You must be fervent and labor so that you grow and develop. You need powerful influences if you want to live before God. Exercise yourself to stand before His face in the things you say and do. Living before the face of God is not as easy as you would think. You have to train yourself so that you are strengthened in the fear of God and remain on fire for the kingdom of heaven. By God’s grace you must create the kingdom of heaven within you, and then create it in your home church.

We must pursue those things that serve for peace and mutual edification. Let us be enthusiastic for the things we speak about so that those who listen can become enthusiastic. Eph. 4:11-12. It takes time to develop so that we are perfected for the work of ministry. Our desire is to anoint and bless one another, but if that is not the effect of our ministry, we need to cleanse ourselves. Eph. 4:15-16. As we grow up in all things into Christ who is the Head, our ministry will have the effect of knitting and uniting.

God’s Word is given to us for correction and instruction in righteousness, and it gives us the potential to grow up and become complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:15-17; Heb. 13:21.
