Boaz Came From Bethlehem

Verse 4

Jesus has been set over the reapers, and He comes from Bethlehem. The true bread from heaven comes from this house of bread to give life to the world. He bought the field to gain the pearl.

“And he said to the reapers, ‘The Lord be with you!’ And they said to him ‘The Lord bless you!’”

Have you ever heard of such a blessed relationship between employer and employee in our days? He said: The Lord be with you! And they replied: The Lord bless you!

God’s kingdom has come down to us. In our days He has sent out many laborers into His harvest, and the fields are already white. The harvest is taking place in the hidden, and the Lord always wants to be along. Yes, it is a blessed work when He is a part of it. He loves His reapers, and the reapers love Him. The reapers rejoice to see Him again so they can benefit from His presence and His hidden manna after He has been away for a while at the house of bread. Everything goes according to plan when Jesus is in charge of the harvest. We can safely hear His Word and do His will, for the fruits we are harvesting will last forever. Martha thought of doing something on her own for Jesus, but Mary did her work on the basis of Jesus’ Word, and this work was by Him and for Him.

Even today, just as He did formerly, He walks among the golden candlesticks (Rev. 1:12, ff.) to look after the reapers. May we pay heed to Him and perform our work carefully to the last detail according to His instructions. Then all our words and deeds will be done before His face. 2 Cor. 2:14-17.
