Drink of What the Servants Have Drawn
The task of drawing from the living water has been entrusted only to the most faithful servants. Such servants have an ear with which to hear. Boaz had confidence in the servants who were by the water vessels.
“Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” Prov. 20:5. The elders in the church must draw living water for thirsty souls, and the servants who cannot do that must find themselves a more fitting occupation by the door or in the house. They should be priests for the people, but must not approach God to serve Him as priests. Ezek. 44:11-14. We have a sufficient number of examples of such priests for the people who balk in their ministry for God when they, in their delusion, attempt to serve Him as priest.
