He Passed Parched Grain to Her

The soul’s greatest honor is to be served by the great Master. Peter said to Jesus, “You shall never wash my feet!” But once his eyes were opened to the fact that his food and drink were in Jesus, that his destiny as well as his entire future and hope were in Him, he changed his mind. Just as the parched grain has been over the fire, so all of God’s Word is prepared in the fire. We will not receive any other food from Him. Therefore, since the Word is pure in this fire, the works, which He commands us to do by faith will become pure in this fire. This is how the Word, by the obedience of faith, will become flesh in us as it became flesh in Him. In other words, the flesh with its passions and desires is consumed in the fire, and the Word is then in a position to use my members according to His will in the ministry of righteousness. When this happens, we can truly say that the Word has become flesh. This is the union between Christ and the church, between the Bridegroom and the bride. The apostle Paul says that this is a great mystery. Eph. 5:32.
