She Arose Before One Could Recognize Another

Verse 14

When the Lord leads a soul into darkness, he is ashamed to say anything about it or let others see it, because he is apt to blame himself for this darkness. Even though he comes out from it with the most glorious results, he cannot immediately speak about it.

Boaz was in agreement with this silence, for he said, “Do not let it be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.”

Great things were still in store in the Spirit. A stranger must not interfere in these matters. Ruth’s redemption was drawing near. Soon she would find a place of rest, which Naomi had promised to seek for her. Jesus often said to those people who could not yet help themselves but who had received something from Him, “See that you tell no one.” If you do tell it to others, those to whom you are saying it will profane your heart’s most precious possession by their unbelief. You must not let thieves into the sanctuary of your heart.
