When She Came to Her Mother-in-law, She Said, “How Did It Go With You, My Daughter?”
Faithful Naomi followed the course of events with all of her heart, and Ruth told her everything the man had done for her. These two had an openhearted relationship with each other. Ruth was on the safe side, for she had done everything that her mother-in-law had said to her. This open relationship will always prevail between fathers in Christ and their children when everything is in order. If any of the children become reticent and shy, you can be certain that there is something wrong. They have something to hide, because they have not done everything that was said to them. Satan has sway in this darkness, but it is not God’s darkness. In such cases the fathers in Christ should press into that darkness of Satan and liberate the soul from his snare. If the children withdraw in such instances, then the Lord says that He has no pleasure in them. We are children of light, children of the day; therefore everything that is hidden in Satan’s darkness should be brought into God’s light.
