Your Bodies Are Members of Christ

“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!” 1 Cor. 6:15. This word shows us clearly that we are members of His body here on earth (by reckoning that we are crucified with Him); we are members of His earthly body, for there are no more harlots after the resurrection.

If Christ had not had sin in the flesh, then how could we, with sin in the flesh, be members of His earthly body?

However, if this word, “And the two shall become one flesh,” applies to Christ and the church (Eph. 5:31-32), then we understand in the fullest sense of the word in this context that we are members of His body. What a blessed mystery!
