Dear Br. Elias Aslaksen,
God’s peace.

Thank you for your good letter which I received several days ago. Now the battle is raging in Ålesund. Some are fighting, some are buckling under, others are joining the fight, while a whole lot of people are passive observers who rejoice that these truths are coming forth. There is an entire flock here who are rejoicing in the knowledge of God, and they testify about knowing Him, the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings. They want to be made like Him in His death. The opposers have attacked me especially because I am in the military.

Yesterday, before the meeting, I wrote down a number of scriptures that show that there were many soldiers who were God-fearing, and that twice it was soldiers who saved Paul’s life; so people should thank God for the services of military personnel. If they hadn’t protected Paul, we probably wouldn’t have his writings today. See Acts 23:12 and 27:22. I also read from 2 Kings 5:1 about Naaman, 2 Samuel 23, Luke 7:1-10, and Titus 3.

God was with me. An opposer stood up and held a long message about wolves in sheep’s clothing. Afterwards, the leader got up and said that someone in sheep’s clothing uses gentle and deceptive words, but that in this case the sword was being used, so it had nothing to do with wolves in sheep’s clothing.

I said that they were along in breaking down authority and thereby paving the way for the coming of the lawless one, whose spirit is being restrained by that authority. Several now have received light about this, and they say they’ve never had such light over these things before. God be honored for everything. He is working, enlightening, and fighting alongside us, and we with Him. They are holding meetings in Måløy and also in Bergen.

Warm greetings.

Your brother,

Johan
