Dear Br. Theodor Ellefsen,
Peace.

Thanks for your good letter that I received some time ago. I hear that it is now going well in Haugesund, and I rejoice over that together with all of you. I have also heard that there are some contacts in Porsgrunn, where Br. Risnes is now. A few days ago we were in Moldøen and refueled. I was able to greet brothers Kvalheim, Oldeide, Ananias Kvalheim, Skram, and Simon Berle. For some time, the friends there have been meeting and working with some members of Indremission. A traveling lay preacher named Sande wanted to form an alliance, using Oldeide. Oldeide would be the vice-chairman, while one of their own members would be the chairman. Br. D. Kvalheim did not think much of this idea. We then talked together about it and concluded that we should be the head and not the tail. Seven of us brothers had some time together at Oldeide’s carpentry shop. Oldeide seems to have scrapped the idea of an alliance. Satan is at work everywhere: he wants to give people a position so that later he can destroy them. God has placed the members in the body just as He pleased; but here the devil wants to appoint the chairman and vice-chairman as he pleases. However, in the kingdom of God, the one who would be greatest is to be the servant of all. You don’t become a chairman here, but rather a servant.

I hear you are taking ten days of leave. Maybe you’re already at home by now, but I am sending this anyway. Next Sunday the friends from Molde will most likely come here. Several here in Moldøen want to be baptized this coming summer, including Br. Hågensen. Hågensen is very zealous and open. We share living quarters on board, and we are together at the meetings on shore. Br. Nils Risnes has left Sarpsborg and has started his trip. He will probably visit Aksel in Drøbak first. They need Br. Risnes here in Western Norway. God has spread us out in an amazing way during this time; His name be honored for all He does. Br. Birkeland, by the grace of God, has done a good work in Kristiansand. He has proven to be capable in the ministry. There are around seven brothers on board, and they have now rented a room for meetings on shore.

All the best, dear brother. May God bless your work in the Lord, which has already borne rich fruit. Many greetings to Br. Johan Lohne, and to the friends as well.

Greetings in the love of Christ from Br. Hågensen and your brother,

Johan
