God’s peace.
Thank you for your good letter. I have just sent four issues to Grønneberg. As far as the mail to Hønefoss is concerned, they have probably provided an incorrect address. If they give their street name and house number, the papers will be delivered. We have a carbon copy of what was sent to Hønefoss, and it is quite certain that we used the right addresses. Of course, some errors can occur, but I think they are still quite accurate. In Denmark, it seems that several issues were lost in the mail, because now and then they have written that some were missing, even though, as far as we know, we sent the correct number from here.
I am returning the enclosed letter from Thora in Hønefoss. Marie Hansen didn’t get a chance to read it, since I have not seen her in a long time, and her husband does not want us to visit. She is doing well, as usual. I hope that by now you have read the letter I sent Aksel after the trip to Porsgrund. It is remarkable how God is opening up doors for us everywhere. You are very welcome in Porsgrund anytime. A large meeting hall is ready and available. The opposers have all left, and everything is in place to start teaching.
God has used Br. Berg over there to drive out the opposers and pave the way for sound doctrine. Brevik should be wide-open—probably Skien too. I think we should go in as things open up and let them hear something, because what they are able to hear inspires them to want to hear more. If you would like, and if you think it is a good idea to make a trip over there to get a change of scenery for a few days, then I will discuss with Aksel whether Skjulte Skatter can pay for your travel expenses. Of course, you see for yourself how things are going in Sarpsborg. Berg is leaving Porsgrund on Friday, so there is no urgency, but I’m writing this so you can be aware how things are going there. We must go on the offensive and wage war as deliberately and as quickly as possible, while the doors are open and before Satan is able to interfere. There’s no point in spending a winter in one town, another winter in another town, etc. It is easy to travel, so you can readily come back after they have mulled over what they’ve been given. There is someone in Porsgrund named Karl Knudsen; he is a strong person, and he could be useful; but he fought against the opposers and in the end gave up on the whole situation. Now he meets with some friends outside of town. They have a considerable degree of the knowledge of God. I visited him last Sunday and tried to get him to go down there, but it probably wasn’t the right time yet. I asked Br. Berg to bring two of the elders and explain the current situation and, if possible, get him to go there again. We’ll have to see how it goes. I received a good letter from Br. Andresen in Sarpsborg. Aksel is coming here on Sunday to discuss different matters.
Greet Pettersen and his wife as well as the friends, as it fits.
Your brother and co-worker in the battle,
JohanI would like to read the letter you sent to Denmark regarding the difference between sound and false doctrine.
