Rest in God
II

Heb. 4:3

“So I swore in My wrath, ‘they shall not enter My rest.’” Heb. 4:3. “And again in this place: ‘They shall not enter My rest.’” Heb. 4:5.

“Except for Caleb . . . and Joshua . . . all of you [who murmured against Me] shall by no means enter the land [a victorious life] which I swore that I would make you dwell in.” Num. 14:30.

“Therefore it remains that some must enter it. And those to whom it [the good news of a glorious life in a glorious kingdom] was first preached did not enter because of unbelief.” Heb. 4:6. “Let us therefore be diligent [because it is so difficult] to enter that rest . . . .” Heb. 4:11.

This is an extremely serious situation that is clearly portrayed before our eyes! And yet it is hidden (as if sealed with seven seals) from most of those who believe in the precious redemption of Jesus Christ!

The greatest mistake we can make is to defer this glorious salvation to the life hereafter instead of believing God’s Word so that we can experience this wonderful rest in God while we are still in this body of death!
