“I am for peace;

“I am for peace; but when I speak they are for war.” Ps. 120:7. What an amazing testimony!!! We obtain rest and peace by loving, obeying, and becoming one with God’s laws—the laws of the Spirit of life. Out of the abundance of the heart, man speaks. Just look at Psalms 119:13: “With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth.” All preachers should be able to say that, truthfully, and the whole church should be able to confirm it!

If that is what is being preached, who are the “they” who are for war? That is obvious—they are all those who love their desires more than God, those who would rather live for themselves than deny themselves and do God’s will.

What they are rebelling against is precisely this: the laws of the Spirit of life. The apostles went into all the world to teach Christ’s disciples to observe these very laws. Matt. 28:20.
