Indwelling sin
For those who teach that the indwelling sin is removed, these scriptures make it quite clear: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” 1 Joh. 1:8. People are living in a deception and trying to get others to believe the same. But their lives testify to something quite different. The disunity between those who have this teaching reveals fully and comprehensively that their teachings are sheer lies. James says, “Where does all unrest come from, and where does all conflict come from among you?” [James 4:1 Norw.)] We can pose the same question here. Where does it come from? From Satan, from God, from others, from temptations from the outside? Listen to what James is asking: “Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?” Yes, the lusts in our members are so violent that they even wage war; but when the lusts are removed by those who today wage war among themselves, what is it that causes the warfare amongst them? Is it the temptations from outside to which they are enslaved, while they boldly say that they are free? Or is it just too little love? Little love is only unripe love, after all!!!
