The Way

Jesus has made a new and living way through the veil, which is his flesh. In Jesus’ blood we have access with boldness. There is a constricted door and it is a narrow way. So there is an entrance and a way to go. We must not consider it just as a one-off experience. Those who have come inside can in the power of God, through receiving the baptism of the Spirit, lay their life down so that death becomes active in them as God’s light is revealed in the heart. In this power they take up their cross every day and follow Him, as He left us an example to follow in His footsteps. The more we destroy in ourselves, the more the life of Christ will be revealed in our mortal flesh. This is a race-course where each one, from joy and gladness of heart, can race into the depths of the riches of the full assurance of understanding, which he sees in the unsearchable riches of Christ (Col. 2:2). Then life becomes natural, spiritual, full of acknowledgment, and filled with joy over the continual liberation from self. It is a life of victory. A life of humility and exaltations. Paul says, “so that I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected (complete); but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” Phil. 3:10-12.

We cannot come further than be apprehended by Christ and by Him be led forward to the goal. Yes, then we will arrive, especially when we are as willing as the bride in Song of Solomon 1:4: “Draw me! We will run after You.”
