She Brought Out and Gave to Her What She Had Left Over

Naomi had an understanding of stewardship; therefore Ruth had to give her what she had gleaned. If you want to do some good for the children, then you must give your gift to the parents so that they can administer it for their profit. First the natural, then the spiritual. God always gives His revelations and His spiritual food to the fathers. Then they have something to give to the children. Even though the children find something, they should nevertheless hand it over to the fathers who will test it and judge whether it is edible, or corrupt.

Ruth’s love for Naomi was boundless. Even Boaz had heard about it. Ruth herself had said: Where you die, I will die. She proved her love by her works in spirit and in truth, and she will be a shining example throughout the ages of the children’s relationship to the fathers in the church of the living God.

Ruth brought out what she had. Learn from Ruth. Many people bring out what they have borrowed or stolen. The disciples brought out the little they had: five loaves and two fish. Jesus blessed what little they had, so that five thousand men, besides women and children, were satisfied; and when they gathered up what was left over, they filled twelve baskets. Matt. 14:20-21.

Bring out what you have in Jesus’ name. Let it pass through His hands, and the little bit with which you then come will be food for many souls.
