Where Have You Gleaned Today? And Where Did You Work?

Verse 19

When a soul brings blessings from God, it awakens amazement and food for thought that makes you ask yourself some questions. Utterly astonished, Naomi asked: “Where have you gleaned today?” Test yourself! Have you gleaned in God’s field today? Or have you been in someone else’s field and gathered empty words, a field in which the reapers tell the soul that it is bondage to live according to God’s will in the obedience of faith? Naomi examined what Ruth had gleaned, but Ruth was a prudent woman, so that her labor and what she had gleaned was a joy and an honor for Naomi. It was a blessing for herself, and last but not least, her labor and what she had gleaned was to God’s glory.
