All the People of My Town Know That You Are a Virtuous Woman

When God wants to use a soul and make him great in his work, He circulates reports about that person. The Lord says about Israel, “This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the nations under the whole heaven, who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble and be in anguish because of you.” Deut. 2:25.

The Queen of Sheba said to Solomon, “Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard.” 1 Kings 10:7.

The report of Jesus went throughout all Syria. Matt. 4:24. The blind men spread the report of Him in all that land. Matt. 9:31.

Wherever God is manifested either by or in a soul, the report of Him will spread around everywhere.

Once in a while there are reports of revival, and people flock together to hear God’s Word. At other times there are reports about the prophets of Israel who swing the rod of chastisement over all ungodliness and hypocrisy among His own people. Whether it is one thing or another, God is with a soul when He lets good reports about him spread around. In other words, good reports are for those who are good, though they are a sign of terror for the ungodly.
