The Fruit of David’s Body
“Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne . . . .” Acts 2:29-31. “‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’ From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus . . . .” Acts 13:22-23. “And gain, Isaiah says: ‘There shall be a root of Jesse; and He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles . . . .” Rom. 15:12.
According to the flesh, Jesus really was the fruit of David’s body. He received His flesh and blood from the Virgin Mary.
