“Yet Without Sin”

Unfortunately, most believers are superficial. They are quick to mistake x for y and 6 for 7. In the same way they also make the mistake of carrying over an expression from one scripture to a completely different scripture, where it neither appears nor fits. The phrase “yet without sin” is not found in either Hebrews 2:14 or in Hebrews 2:17. Look closely! And why not? Because it doesn’t belong there. Indeed, being there would make it wrong. But we do find it in Hebrews 4:15. Why? Because it belongs there. What is more, it is bound to be there; otherwise that particular scripture would be incorrect. Had the expression “yet without sin” not appeared there, the context would then imply that He had also been tried in sinning. And this is precisely something in which He was not tried. Hallelujah!
