“Let all the earth keep silence before Him.”

“Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” Hab. 2:20; Zech. 2:13. Yes, just be quiet—the sooner the better! Oh, let the Lord Himself speak so that the good can be accomplished. All your own thoughts, ideas, and opinions cannot save anyone anyway. On the contrary! They only do harm and get in the way. They only make matters worse. Your arm of flesh will never be able to further God’s cause! It will only be a weight that slows things down. That is why we read that even a fool is considered wise when he holds his peace! Prov. 17:28.

The sooner you keep silence, the sooner you and others can hear the voice of God. This is the one thing that is so necessary.

How significant are the words of Isaiah! “There is no peace . . . for the wicked.”
